Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Ordered delivery from here. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the Greek salad, YUM! The gyro was good, nothing special, but very tasty. Oh, and the driver was very friendly. Thanks Taso's.

Was looking for a casual lunch diner, when I stumbled upon another Boca gem: Taso's Greek Taverna 2! (The first/original one is located in Delray Beach) Walked in and immediately knew I had come to the right place. Vibrant creme colored walls with traditional Athenian paintings hanging on the walls. Hostess/waitress shot us an energetic greeting as we were seated right away. The menu followed a simple format and the waitress helped guide us towards an immaculate order. The food here is STELLAR. For appetizers, we opted for: 1.) the saganaki which is a delicious thin block of fried Greek cheese that is brought out on a flame and served with pita bread slices. 2.) the Pikilia: composed of homemade hummus, satsiki, and taramosalata dips, a bed of lettuce with tomotatoes, feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, green peppers also served with pita bread slices. The split pea soup was also another table favorite, but the cardinal entree one would could not leave the restaurant without ordering would be the "Mixed Grill". It offers gyro lamb meat, freshly cooked chicken off the grill, and kabob pieces served a wonderful rice pilaf. For desserts, a must must try (if you're tired of having Baklava) would be the galactoburiko which is a Custard pie wrapped in filo with honey. Traditional Greek coffee was the perfect complement to pastry. The owner graciously stepped out and told us more about the restaurant as well as its related counterpart located in Delray. We were pleased to exhcange our thoughts with the jolly fellow and will be back soon!

Not great. I ordered takeout and half of the meals we ordered were inedible.. The chicken in the chicken kebab dinner and also in my son's chicken kids meal was way overcooked and tasted worse than rubber. Everything was lacking flavor. I liked their chicken lemon soup after I added lemon to it. The Greek salad was fresh though. They were out of eggplants when I ordered.. If I give them another chance , I would like to try an eggplant dish and I would order the Greek salad again.

Food was really good unfortunately the service is lacking. I asked for no bell peppers in my salad which arrived full of green bell peppers. When I told the waitress she proceeded to tell me that green peppers are not bell peppers. Even with me telling her she was incorrect she continued on so I decided to just pick them out. She didn't apologize she just kept saying its a green pepper. After we were served and my complaint no one came back to ever check up on us and we were the only ones there besides another couple. Below is the picture of my yummy meal with the exception of the side of green bell peppers.

Last night I went with a friend Taso's on Glades Road. It was our first time there. When we entered most of the tables in this small restaurant were taken. We were quickly seated at one of the empty tables and given menus. After questioning the server about the items on the menu we decided to split the saganaki, or Greek flaming cheese. I had never tried it before. It came to the table flaming. The presentation was great and it was delicious. I'm putting it on my list of favorite Greek appetizers. For my entree I ordered grilled shrimp. My friend ordered the mixed grill. Both entrees came with our choice of soup or salad. We both ordered avgolemono, Greek lemon chicken soup. The soup was very thick and hearty and we both enjoyed it. A basket of pita bread slices and a delicious dip was placed on the table My entree consisted of eight fairly large shrimp served in a butter sauce. It came with mixed vegetables and potato or rice. I had the rice. The shrimp were very tasty. The vegetables were good and still crisp. The rice was so so, rather bland. My friends mixed grill consisted of lamb, pork, chicken, and gyro. It was served with rice. He said some of it was tender, but some of the meat was chewy. I'd like to try this restaurant again. Next time I'll order a more traditional Greek dish, probably a gyro or souvlaki dinner.

Came in alone for a late lunch, the place was empty except for a couple girls waiting for take out. Tiger dining area was clean and bathroom fully stocked with soap (a previous reviewer mentioned there was none, so I guess it must have been a fluke) The woman behind the counter let me sit where I wanted, and was very quick to check on me often. I grabbed a gyro and some soup, plus feta on the gyro. Mmmm thru gyro meat is tender and savoury as it should be, soup just flavorful enough to still feel light even though it has a creamy texture. Over all very satisfied with the chow and service. I'll have to thank the friend that suggested this yummy little spot!

Really excellent Greek food. We've been going for years to the other location and were quite happy that they opened another one closer to us. Also Pitas are delicious.

I had the worst service and black hair on my check chicken pita. I pointed it out to the server, who said she did not see it. Which she did, clearly and took the food from me and disappeared. I had to get up and go to her, asking what she was going to do. She intended for me to just go away. I said at least offer me a refund or a replacement meal. She got a side salad and handed to me. No apologies nothing. Do not go to this eatery!!! Too many great places in West Boca to eat at.

First time there on 2/8/13. I ordered Moussaka. It was very good. I tasted the gyros my friends ordered, and the were also good. I like the container of dressing they have on the table. The taziki sauce was terrific. BUT my one complaint is that I used the bathroom THREE times and each time I told the waitress that there was no SOAP and it was NOT replaced all the time I was there. So, I wonder, if the employees must wash their hands, where is the soap!!!! That could be a turn off.

Nice people, so so service. Food was OK, not great. I may be a bit picky, but we will not go there again. Service: our server took our initial order while holding 2 handfuls of dirty dishes. A main Greek entree was not available then there was no suggestion, just 'we don't have that' and a blank stare. Dinner took almost 2 hours for two appetizers, one salad and one entree. Others diners may have been served more quickly - the regulars. Table felt sticky as if not properly cleaned. The souvlaki took almost 25 minutes to reach us and looked like an after thought - as if the server remembered it long after delivering the first appetizer. There were lots of other diners who seemed satisfied. It may be a better place for something wrapped in a pita than a dinner.

My family and I came here for our Sunday early dinner and left very satisfied. We had the grilled octopus to start. Perfectly drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice. Our entree choice was the chicken kabob and gyro platter. Both meats were seasoned well and tender. Salad was fresh and their homemade dressing delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. A great local, family owned restaurant.

First time. Went for lunch with 3 others. Crazy trying to park because between Publix and Home Depot. Very nice inside. Had a cup of their lemon chicken rice soup and grilled egplant pita. Both were delicious. The pita also had feta cheese and tomato. $7.50. Will return again for lunch..

Food was pretty good, unfortunately it wasn't what we had ordered. Apparently you have to be really specific when you order a gyro. If you want a sandwich you must specify it has to be in a wrap or on bread otherwise you will get the ingredients of said sandwich delivered with cut up pieces of pita which you must try to assemble yourself after paying an extra $3 for the privilege

I ate here last week when visiting my 91 yr old mother in Florida. We both enjoyed it very much! She had already been here once with friends and liked it that time too. She had moussaka and I had dinner size spanokopita - both were tasty, as was the homemade lentil soup. The ambience was cozy and felt a bit like a small European restaurant, and the service was friendly and attentive. A nice addition to the area - definitely better than some big chain restaurant! Will now make it a regular stop on my visits.

This is the second time I have eaten here! The first was for carryout and the food was very tasty! This time was for lunch and once again the food was mouth watering good. The owner came out from the kitchen and served the meal to us. YUM!!! I had a pita gyro. It was very good and very filling. NICE FRESH Taziki (sp?) sauce. Truly tasty. I will be back for more!

Service was not that great and they did not have what I wanted. I ordered the lamb dinner and my daughter the lamb chops. Overcooked!! Nn

Was in the area and starving so i asked a person what was good to eat and they recommended Taso's. I was assumeing it was like a regular pita place but it's a small quant restaurant in the publix shopping plaza. I asked the waitress what was the best thing on the menu and she stated the cook always makes himself the pork slovaki. I never ate pork at a greek joint before so I figured what the heck. I'm glad I did because it was absolutely fantastic! Homemade taziki sauce with cucumber shreds in it was nice to the pallet. I was done with dinner and ready to leave and wundered if they had a good baklava. Waitress said "it was just made" so I tried it. Now, me not being a sweet eater I rarely order sweets but I never pass up baklava when it's available. Hands down it was the best baklava I HAVE EVER EATEN! Perfectly flaky and nutty. It wasn't mushy in any way and full of flavor. I usually don't finish the baklava because it is such a sweet desert but for the first time, I wiped it out! Great little spot if you want your mouth to be happy. The waitress was very nice and the coffee was good. Very much worth it. :)

Mediocre Food! Rude Employees! Won't frequent this restaurant again! Do not recommend!

Horrible experience here and will never return. The service is abominable and the food mediocre. Except for the bus boys, who are relatively helpful and conscious (thus the one star), the rest of the staff might as well be on the moon. The wait staff lies and is defensive when pointed out that they gave us the wrong order (twice!), and overcharged us. Not even an apology, just dirty looks. AND WE WERE POLITE! If you must go, keep your menu to check on prices and content. There was a party going on and the noise level in his small, spartan place was so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves talk. No atmosphere at all. I think this place is lucky because it is in an isolated location with no real competition. Stay far away and scout out a place you can relax in and enjoy your food.

We were so excited to see a greek restaurant open near our house. Maybe our mistake was eating there the first week they opened. THe pita was hard little pieces of bread. Not fresh and not home made as the waitress told us. I ordered a large greek salad. There was barely any cheese and the dressing was tasteless. The two other people with me ordered gryo dinners. The portions were tiny and the meat was frozen very thin slices. Nothing like the gryo meat you get in any other greek restaurant. The meat was horrible (it was more like rubbery cold cuts than gryo meat). The rice was tasteless. Veggies were overcooked with no flavor. My husband was disappointed that he couldn't get a whole piece of pita to make a sandwich out of only these little hard pieces. Overall it was horrible. Can't find one thing about the experience that I can say something nice about.

hostess doesn't understand take out menu. raw chicken on salad. gummy dressing. manager overly confident. he needs to not have screaming match over phone. raw is raw. seems to be a trend in this strip. the hamburger joint is unkempt and poorly manages. food just isn't quality in this neck of the hood.

I went once and felt like I went too mtany times! Portions were small and they are more concerned with the pennies than the dollars. For example: My "platter" came with two small yet hard pieced of pita/ I asked for more pita and waitress said she would be right back. When she came back, she did not have any pita, instead she had information! That was......ready.......the pita will be .50 I said that I just want a pita. I splurged the .50 and received the other half of a pita. It wasn't the fifty cents, it was the half a pita, not fresh and a portion of Gyro meat that left me feeling like I had been taken advantage of. We won't try again.

We eat lunch here once a week. The food is delicious tasting with homemade flavors. U live the mousaka and my husband loves the lemon chicken soup and gyro. The ingredients are always fresh and the service is prompt and pleasant.

The food is excellent! We have been back 4 times since we first tried this restaurant 2 weeks ago. The food is extremely fresh and tasty. The soups are rich and hearty, pita's are fresh and the taziki is excellent! Cant wait to go back again.

I was a bit surprised that there wasn't someone at the door to greet us. We had to wait a few minutes for a server to tell us to seat ourselves. Once seated the server brought us menus and took our drink order. After about 5 minutes a different server came to take our drink order and we told her we've already ordered from the other server. Well, we waited at least 10 minutes for beverages and the restaurant wasn't even busy. While we waited for our food we had to listen to a radio playing top 40 music. I couldn't believe it. It looks and feels more like a cafeteria than a Greek restaurant. Our entree's were average, we've had much better Greek cuisine elsewhere. The staff is very inexperienced and it appears that there isn't anyone there to train them.

Really good! I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I went with 3 other friends when we heard there was a new restaurant in the area. So lets start with the hummus, it was ok. Pita was pita...then came the salads. Good size side salad with plenty of veggies and cheese (love a greek salad). My husband went for the lentil soup instead. We are both regular lentil cooks so he enjoyed his soup and my hubby is not easily impressed. I ordered the lamb shank and my husband the pita platter with fries. I LOVED the lamb. It was super tasty. The meat fell right off the bone. Gyro was good too. Really nice size. The fries were great. So dinner for 5 was about $85 with tip included. Good price for fresh and tasty food. When they delivered the bill, I thought it was super cute cause they gave us each a sample plate of baklava. Homemade and YUMMY! The staff was friendly and our waitress was really sweet. We brought our 8 month old and when she woke up crying, they came over to cheer her up and were just so sweet to us. I would go back again, Especially since I believe they were family owned. Right now we need to support small business and when its a good one, its a must. =)
